7. Integration Exam 1.0 (Phases 2-5 System Audit)

Objective: A complete diagnostic of your English OS so far. This exam tests Data Types (Phase 2), Verb States (Phase 3), Logic Gates (Phase 4), and the Master Architecture (Phase 5).

Part 1: The Data Types & Pointers (Phase 2)

Instructions: Fix the "Null Pointer" and "Data Type" exceptions. Write the clean code below.

1. (Aviation): "The pilot needs to review the equipments before takeoff."

2. (Medical): "The doctor gave I an excellent advice about nutrition."

3. (Corporate): "Can you send the updated financial datas to she?"

4. (Logistics): "There are too many traffics on the supply route today."

5. (Hospitality): "The hotel staff is preparing the room for they."

Part 2: Logic Gates & Power Source (Phases 3 & 4)

Instructions: Identify the DO, BE, or HAVE logic gate. Fix the Verb State (V1-V5) to prevent a system crash.

6. (Engineering): "Did the structural engineers found the micro-fractures?"

7. (Finance): "The banking server hasn't process the transfers yet."

8. (Daily): "She doesn't likes to drink coffee in the afternoon."

9. (IT): "The technicians are look into the firewall breach right now."

10. (Science): "Have the researchers publish their findings?"

Part 3: The Core Engine (Tier 1 Master Architecture)

Instructions: Identify the correct time/logic trigger and refactor the sentence into the proper Tier 1 formula (Present Simple, Past Simple, Future Simple, Present Continuous, or Present Perfect).

11. (Routine): "The cargo ship is arriving at the port at 6 AM every morning."

12. (History): "We have wrapped up the marketing campaign last Tuesday."

13. (Result): "The maintenance crew fixed the elevator already, so you can use it now."

14. (Active): "Please lower your voice, the director goes over the script right now."

15. (Promise): "I am settling on a vendor by tomorrow, I promise."

16. (Fact): "The human heart is beating around 100,000 times a day."

17. (History): "I am visiting the Singapore headquarters in 2022."

18. (Result): "The cyber security team ruled out a malware attack recently."

19. (Active): "Look! The delivery drone drops the package on the roof!"

20. (Routine): "He always is handing over his shift smoothly."

Part 4: Context Modules & Legacy Code (Tier 2 & 3)

Instructions: Refactor using Tier 2 (Background Process / Pre-History / Uptime) or downgrade Tier 3 Bloatware into native English.

21. (Background): "The architect figured out the blueprint error while he drove to work." (Fix the background process)

22. (Pre-History): "The engine failed because the mechanic didn't checked the oil pressure." (Fix the syntax and apply the Pre-History log)

23. (Uptime): "The legal team reviews the contracts for the last five hours."

24. (Bloatware): "By next Friday, the developers will have finished the sprint." (Downgrade to Tier 1 Future Simple)

25. (Bloatware): "The patient had been resting for an hour when the doctor arrived." (Downgrade to Tier 2 Background Process)

Part 5: Full System Integration (Log Refactoring)

Instructions: The following incident report contains 5 major syntax errors spanning Phases 2 through 5. Refactor the entire paragraph into clean, professional English.

26. The Incident Report: "Yesterday, we have kicked off the new server migration. While the system transferred the datas, the power went out. I didn't panicked. I called the backup generator team, but they already left the building. We are looking into the root cause every day to make sure it doesn't happens again."

Refactored Log:

27. The Hardware Request: "I need to buy a new equipments for the office. My laptop is crashing every day this week. While I typed an email yesterday, the screen was going black. I am trying to fix it since Monday, but I didn't found the problem."

Refactored Log:

28. The Freelance Pitch: "I am a freelancer and I have built the e-commerce app in 2024. By next week, I will have finished your prototype. Before you hired me, I already whip up a basic wireframe. Please sign off on it so we can kicked off the development."

Refactored Log:

29. The Logistics Delay: "There are too many traffics on the highway today, so the delivery is held up. While the driver drove to the warehouse, the truck was breaking down. He waits for the tow truck for two hours. He didn't got around to calling the client yet."

Refactored Log:

30. The Performance Review: "We have wrap up the quarterly review two hours ago. The lead engineer said he will looks into the memory leak. He is working at this company since 2021. The datas shows that we are falling behind. We will touch base when he figure out the solution."

Part 1: The Data Types & Pointers (Phase 2)

1.

  • Clean Code: "The pilot needs to review the equipment before takeoff."
  • Logic: "Equipment" is an Uncountable Noun; never pluralize with "-s".

2.

  • Clean Code: "The doctor gave me excellent advice about nutrition."
  • Logic: "Me" is an Object Pointer. "Advice" is Uncountable; no "an" allowed.

3.

  • Clean Code: "Can you send the updated financial data to her?"
  • Logic: "Data" is treated as singular/uncountable. "Her" is an Object Pointer.

4.

  • Clean Code: "There is too much traffic on the supply route today."
  • Logic: "Traffic" is an Uncountable Noun; use "is" and "much" instead of "are" and "many".

5.

  • Clean Code: "The hotel staff is preparing the room for them."
  • Logic: "Them" is an Object Pointer used after a preposition.

Part 2: Logic Gates & Power Source (Phases 3 & 4)

6.

  • Clean Code: "Did the structural engineers find the micro-fractures?"
  • Logic: The DO gate (Did) forces the V1 state (find).

7.

  • Clean Code: "The banking server hasn't processed the transfers yet."
  • Logic: The HAVE gate (hasn't) forces the V3 state (processed).

8.

  • Clean Code: "She doesn't like to drink coffee in the afternoon."
  • Logic: The DO gate (doesn't) forces the V1 state (like). No "-s".

9.

  • Clean Code: "The technicians are looking into the firewall breach right now."
  • Logic: The BE gate (are) in active voice forces the V4 state (looking).

10.

  • Clean Code: "Have the researchers published their findings?"
  • Logic: The HAVE gate (Have) forces the V3 state (published).

Part 3: The Core Engine (Tier 1 Master Architecture)

11.

  • Clean Code: "The cargo ship arrives at the port at 6 AM every morning."
